In the live-action movie, Bumblebee is a Chevrolet Camaro instead of a Volkswagen Beetle in the original cartoon series. In the movie, a Volkswagen Beetle appears next to the Bumblebee Chevrolet Camaro when he appears for the 1st time in his car form. The actual Camaro was later sold on eBay for US$40,100.01.
In the Transformers movie, his vocal processors were damaged by the Decepticons and he talks through his radio. Interestingly, although this was repaired at the end of the 1st movie, in the 2nd Transformers movie, Revenge of the Fallen, his vocal processors were somehow not working again & he communicates through his radio, which does get a little irritating after a while.
Bumblebee is about 18 feet tall in his robot form, and he can transform his right arm into a plasma cannon.
